* PLEASE NOTE: Players written up on the scouting blog were identified by our scouting staff based on the demonstration of notable tool(s) and/or skill(s). While WE DO NOT KEEP STATS, we are watching for standout performers on the mound, at the plate, in the field and on the bases. However, a performance WITHOUT the presence of requisite tool(s) and/or skill(s) IS NOT considered standout — we are looking for players with the tool(s) and/or skill(s) to play beyond the high school level.

Frame projects. Moves well in the outfield. Good first step. Covers ground in the gaps. Above average arm strength. Threw 94 MPH in pull down. Short and compact swing at the plate. Looks to drive the ball to the middle of the field. Ran a 6.50 in the 60 yd dash and his speed translates in live games.

His curveball sat around 75 mph about 15 miles per hour slower than his fastball. This helped him keep the hitters off balanced. At the plate he showed an impressive 99 mph exit velocity on a line drive up the middle. Strong Projectable frame to grow into.

#13 Ricky Ojeda – 2023 LHP
Crafty lefty who uses a three pitch mix. Got stronger with the FB velo as the game progressed. Generated a lot of soft contact and was able to sneak his fastball by some batters. Sat 82-84 T85
