Stocky build, some lift in his swing with the ability to drive the ball in the gap with some power. Defensively has an average arm behind the plate, frames the pitch low and to his arm side well, has a good baseball IQ.
#31 Aiden Taurek – RHP 2022
Medium frame with room to fill out, FB sits 83-85mph with late sink, and flashed a slider in the low 70’s with late bite. Has a controlled delivery with deception, good extension creates late life on the baseball, and still a raw pitcher that has a lot of upside.
#48 Mason Molina – 1B 2021
Good presence in the batters box with a good approach at the plate. Has a good feel for the zone, plus bat speed, and has power to the pull-side. Went 2-2 with a no doubt HR to left field against Riverside Mayhem BBC on 7/19.
#57 Dean Toigo – OF 2022
Tall frame with a lean build and a lot of room to fill out. Starts from an open stance with his hands low and a controlled load, barrel is around the baseball, and looks to pull the ball. Plus speed with long strides that translates into the outfield with ability to track baseballs in the gaps.
So Cal Birds Orange
#2 Anthony Wyman – INF 2021
Small-lean build, starts from a slightly open stance and uses a toe tap for timing. Bat is a little light, but has an idea at the plate, and has plus speed on the base paths. Defensively, has soft hands on the infield with a quick release.
#50 Mark Muranaka – IF 2021
Stocky frame, starts from a slightly open stance, and has strong barrel with good extension. Defensively he can play all three positions with good lateral movement and a strong arm
#44 Alex Apatiga – IF 2021
Athletic build, starts with a high back elbow and gets on plane early, keeps barrel inside the baseball with lift in his swing. Defensively has good lateral range with smooth actions and a strong presence.
#62 Noah Elorriaga – RHP 2021
Physical build with a strong lower half. FB sits at 80-83 mph with good downhill plane when he gets on top, breaking ball was 69-70mph with slurve type break. Flashed a CH in the mid 70’s, raw arm with upside, attacks the big part of the zone, has room for more velocity as his mechanics develop and become more fluid.
#56 Zack Tittle – C 2021
Athletic and strong frame. Good receiver and instincts behind the plate. Plus pull-side pop and attacks pitches middle-in.
So Cal Birds White
#13 Toby Yoshida – INF 2021
Small-frame and starts from a slightly open stance with a high back elbow. Offensively, line drive hitter and stays shot to the baseball. Defensively, works light on his feet with athletic actions on the infield. Aggressive on the base paths and has good speed.
#82 Jack Tuttle – RHP 2021
Large and physical frame. Good presence on the mound. Fastball ranged from 80-82 mph and topped out at 83 mph. Good over the top 12-6 curveball around 66-70 mph. Commands good control of all his pitches and has major upside. Consistent mechanics and an increase in strength can make him a serious player at the next level.
So Cal Heat
#10 Adrian Soto – INF 2021
Lean-athletic frame with room to grow and fill out. Smooth swing at the plate that creates good backspin to the middle of the field. Gets good barrel to the ball. With some more development and strength could be a well-rounded hitter.
#7 Jack Bickerton – 1B 2021
Big-strong kid, good athletic ability, and can swing that bat well. Keeps his hands inside the baseball well while supplying good power to all fields. Still needs some work on having a plan as well as being more disciplined at the plate, but has a lot of upside and potential to develop into a very good hitter.
The Lot Eveland
#52 Andrew Dusablon – RHP 2020
Long-lean pitching frame with room to fill out. Has a smooth delivery with a 3/4 arm slot and a fastball that sat at 82-83 mph, touched 84 mph a few times as well. Had a sharp slider at 69-72 mph that came out of the same arm slot as well. Could be very effective at the next level.
7/22: Fastball 84-86mph
#10 Mason Johnson – C 2021
Strong and well-built catcher frame. Keeps his hands inside the ball well and gets his barrel to pitches. Moves well behind the plate with good hands and footwork. With some more arm strength from behind the plate he could be a very strong college baseball player.
#23 Brandon Whiting – OF/RHP 2021
Athletic and agile frame with room to get stronger. Attacks fastballs with a solid middle of the field approach. Backspins the ball well up the middle with the ability to beat outfielders in the gaps. Also demonstrated above average awareness on the base paths with good reads.
Trosky Antelope Valley
#26 Zachary Hargus – LHP 2020
Crafty lefty. Tall frame with easy and relatable mechanics. Will be able to spot up consistently in and out with a high 70’s FB topping out at 79 mph, while mixing in above average secondary stuff. 6 innings pitched and 1 hit while pounding the strike zone.
#30 Robbie Ayers – C 2021
Great defensive catcher, knows how to call a game and is dependable behind the plate. Receives well, and consistently carried a 2.03-2.1 pop time with a great arm. A threat at the plate providing good pop to all parts of the field. Middle of the lineup hitter at this level and could extend beyond.
#96 Eldridge Armstrong – INF/RHP 2021
Fastball sat 83-85. Sharp slider. Raw tools on the mound. Quick arm. Utilized lower half well.
#6 Donnie Silecchio – OF 2021
Average speed around the bases. Plays hard, always looking to take an extra bag. Short and compact swing with good bat speed.
#99 Dominic Womack – SS/3B 2021
Good defender up the middle. Above average glove with an average arm. Still needs to work on footwork and arm strength to be a quality shortstop at the next level. Aggressive hitter with quick hands. Good athleticism but still developing his tools and fundamentals.
#96 Eldridge Armstrong – RHP/3B 2021
Big-athletic body with raw athleticism. Will be able to play all over the field at the next level either on the mound, OF, or 3B. Above average arm and dynamic hitter at the plate. Will be able to produce substantially in the middle of a lineup with explosive hands and the ability to drive the ball all over the yard to create runs.
West Coast Chill
#44 Adam Aneste – RHP 2021
Compact and athletic frame. Crafty right hander. Hides the ball well, good arm-side run and competes on both sides of the plate with FB 79-81 mph. Tight slider with a 10-4 break.
West Coast Kings Elite
#14 Kevin Sharp – RHP 2021
Lean-athletic frame with room to fill out and get stronger. Smooth mechanics and a fastball that sat at 82-84 mph. Was able to touch 85 mph as well. Stayed very composed on the mound and attacked hitters with his fastball. Also had a 65-68 mph curveball that he could throw for a strike. He also showed a 72-73 mph change-up with good arm side run. Solid pitcher that will be a good college prospect.
#40 Nico Torrez – OF 2021
Strong and well-built frame. Has a smooth flat swing through the zone. Stays inside the ball well creating good backspin and power to the middle and opposite sides of the field. Also was able to sit back on an off-speed pitch and hit it on a line into the opposite field gap. Was very consistent at barreling up baseballs throughout the game. Will be a strong hitter at the next level.
#4 Carson Ramocinski – SS 2021
Small frame with an athletic build, simple setup with a flat bat path, flashed some power to the gaps, plus athlete with a high motor, works low and through the baseball with soft hands and funnel into his body, strong arm that plays at the next level
#15 Joe Donnelly – C 2021
Strong left handed hitting catcher, starts from a slightly open stance, barrel works inside the baseball with good bat speed, defensively he receives well with minimal movement, strong arm with carry through the bag, solid prospect
#3 CJ Wigren – 3B 2021
Small frame with a lean build, fundamentally sound defender with good baseball IQ, strong arm, stays above the baseball with his barrel creating hard contact on a line and on the ground, plus speed, plays the game hard
#11 Reid Stein – OF 2021
Towering HR to left center field in a 8-0 win over So Cal Birds White
