Ball is easy out of hand, making it appear to jump on hitters. Coils knee back over rubber at balance point. Uses legs well, has present strength. Curve 71 to 76, with lower end of velocity range lacking fastball arm speed. Works very well inside to right handed hitters. Could be closer material, works well from stretch and has potential power two-pitch mix.

6/10/14 – Large framed right hander. Fastball around 84 from high three quarters slot with slight arm side life. Breaking ball was thrown in mid to upper 60s with 11-5 shape and rolling downward action. Solid delivery, arm worked fine.

Elite Perfomance Baseball 18 has a talented group of 2014 graduates, quite a few of which are scheduled to play at the college level. RHP/UT Jonathan Gonzalez and RHP Ibrahim Silwany are set to attend Asa College. Left handed hitting OF Danilo De Armas is headed to Wabash Valley CC, as is right handed hitting IF Pablo De Armas. RHP Armando Gonzalez is off to Stilllman College, while catcher Danny Sirven is on his way to the University of South Alabama.

6/6/14 – Right handed power bat. Has quick hands to zone, and torques lower half well to generate bat speed and strength through contact. Gets to pitches on inner half easily, and drives it that way with authority – as evidence by double to deep LF. Showed arm strength at 3B, along with solid lateral movement and ability to come in on the ball.

Ball is fluid out of hand with good extension out front. Slight knee tuck from stretch. 1.28 from stretch on FB. Excellent body type at 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds.

6/7/14 – Balanced in the box, slightly open at setup and returns to square nicely. Tripled to right center field, offering proof that he can drive it the other way. Good runner, and versatile defender. Although listed on the roster as a SS/OF, he showed arm strength along with solid skills behind the plate. Received nicely and worked to block balls in the dirt.

6/7/14 – Fastball 78 to 82. Slider 69 to 70, seems to be his out pitch. Change 65 to 66, has a good feel for this pitch. Pronated circle change with good arm side run and late sink. Balance point is good with good glove side torque after separation. Works both sides of plate well. There is more in the tank with his fastball. Slide step 1.16 to home. Quick move to first. He caught yesterday, and started pitching this morning – could see more velocity from him.

6/6/14 – Defensively, featured great lateral movement to both sides along with soft hands and a good feel for the position. Showed above average arm strength across the diamond. Offensively, he is an aggressive first pitch fastball swinger with pull side power – drove to warning track over left fielder’s head. Generated speed and pop from a short, compact swing. Got down the line as well as 4.25 from the right side of the plate. Need to keep an eye on this player.

Featured good command of pitches, and worked quickly – dictated the tempo of the game.
